1.2 JM creates customizable handmade shoes and, as such, they are considered “made-to-order” items pursuant to Article 59, letter c) of the Consumer Code (hereinafter, for brevity, also the Product(s) or Shoe(s)).
1.3 These Terms of Use and General Terms of the Contract apply to all orders made through the e-commerce website www.julesmeniconi.com.
1.4 By completing each order through the website www.julesmeniconi.com, the customer declares that they accept and are aware of the content of these Terms of Use and General Terms of the Contract and the Privacy Policy (which can also be found and downloaded at the following LINK and is an integral part of these Terms and Conditions), confirming that they are legally entitled and have reached the required age to enter into legally binding contracts.
1.5 These Terms of Use and General Terms of the Contract may be modified or updated at any time, also in relation to legislative developments regarding consumer rights. All changes to these Terms of Use and General Terms of the Contract will be binding on the Parties from the moment of their publication on the website www.julesmeniconi.com, for all orders placed after their publication.
Article 2. – Creation of User Account
2.1 JM invites visitors to the website www.julesmeniconi.com to create an account by providing a username and selecting a password.
2.2 Through their account, users will have access to personalized discounts, receive the newsletter, check their wishlist, place orders, and view order history.
2.3 Users are required to keep their password confidential, limit access to their user account, and are responsible for any purchases made through their account.
Article 3. – Procedure for Placing and Completing the Order
Invitation to Purchase
3.1 All Products available for purchase on the website www.julesmeniconi.com constitute an invitation to offer and not a public offer or a unilateral sales contract by JM.
3.2 JM reserves the right to refuse an order at its discretion and, in any case, if any of the following circumstances, by way of example and not limited to, occur:
- Violation, even presumed, of these Terms and Conditions of Sale;
- Involvement, even presumed, of the customer in resale activities;
- Violation, even presumed, of copyright and regulations protecting the Brand and intellectual property;
- The customer, even presumptively, is not a consumer, but a commercial purchaser;
- Refusal of the payment transaction by external payment services.
3.3 In case of order refusal, JM will inform the customer, who may request more information at the following email address: customercare@julesmeniconi.com.
Creation of the Custom Shoe Model
3.4 To place an order, it is necessary to create a user account on the website www.julesmeniconi.com, providing a username and selecting a password, as described in point 2 above, which is hereby referenced.
3.5 The customer must customize their shoe using the website’s “Configurator” tool, selecting the model, size, color, and materials/fabrics. In case of any allergies or contact intolerances to fabrics (such as, by way of example and not limited to, rashes or dermatitis caused by nickel contact), JM invites customers to contact Customer Service at customercare@julesmeniconi.com before placing an order. In any case, the list of materials used can be found at the following link or by clicking the “Product Details” button in the “Configurator” process.
3.6 During certain times of the year, JM will create special limited edition models, available in the “limited edition” section of the website www.julesmeniconi.com, where customers can select their size.
3.7 Using the “Configurator” tool, the customer will be able to view a render of the final result, the main features of each product, and the price of the shoes, as further described in the next point 4.
3.8 The images and descriptions on the website reproduce the product characteristics as faithfully as possible. The customer acknowledges that the colors and sizes of the shoes and any related accessories may differ from the actual product due to the settings of the customers’ computer or device used to view them. These images should, therefore, be considered indicative. For the purposes of this contract, the product description contained in the Order Confirmation sent to the customer, as per point 3.16 below, will be binding. In any case, JM clarifies that any minimal differences between the shoes received and the images from the final render (which, as stated, should be considered indicative) are to be attributed to the handcrafted nature of the products.
3.9 Regarding sizes, JM invites customers to refer to the size guide in the “Configurator” process. JM suggests that customers whose shoe size is between two measurements purchase the larger size (for example, if their shoe size is 37.5, it is preferable to purchase a size 38). For further information about sizes, customers are encouraged to email customercare@julesmeniconi.com.
3.10 After completing the procedure through the “Configurator” tool and selecting and customizing their shoe model, the customer can submit their order to JM electronically by proceeding to checkout and clicking the “Add to Cart” button (hereinafter, for brevity, “checkout”).
Order Submission and Payment
3.11 Afterward, the customer will be asked to provide their billing details, shipping address, payment method, price, and shipping times as detailed in the following Article 7.o di pagamento, prezzo e tempi di spedizione di cui al successivo articolo 7.
3.12 If the customer wishes to cancel the purchase, they can remove the order from the cart using the “Remove from Cart” function.
3.13 Incomplete or incorrect orders will not be considered in any way.
3.14 As this is a purchase with an obligation to pay, the customer must proceed with the full payment by clicking the “Pay Now” button.
3.15 By making the payment, the customer declares acceptance of the price and the custom-ordered product, and the order will be considered irrevocable, with no possibility of modification or cancellation. In any case, within 2 working days from the order submission, the customer may contact Customer Service via email at customercare@julesmeniconi.com for any inquiries regarding the submitted order.
Order Confirmation and Contract Completion
3.16 After completing the payment process, the customer will receive an order confirmation email (hereinafter, for brevity, “Order Confirmation”) indicating billing and shipping addresses, order number, description, and main features of the products, price, chosen payment method, and shipping times. This message merely confirms receipt of the order.
3.17 The customer will receive, no later than 2 working days, an order acceptance email (hereinafter, for brevity, “Order Acceptance”).
3.18 Upon receiving the order acceptance, the online contract will be considered perfected.
3.19 If the payment transaction is refused by external payment services, the order will be considered void, and no amount will be charged to the customer.
Art. 4 – Prices and Additional Costs
4.1 All product prices displayed on the website www.julesmeniconi.com and shown at the end of the configuration process represent the final prices of the order, meaning they include VAT (or other applicable sales taxes), shipping costs for Italy and Europe, as well as any additional charges due to online payment methods that apply a percentage fee on the purchase.
4.2 The order price must be paid in full by the customer at the time of purchase, after clicking the “pay now” button.
4.3 The order price shall be paid in full by the customer at the time of purchase, after clicking on the ‘pay now’ button.
Art. 5 – Payment Methods
5.1 Payment may be made through:
- Credit/Debit Card: If the customer pays by credit or debit card, JM reserves the right to verify the name, address, and other personal data provided by the customer during the order process through appropriate third-party databases. By providing payment data, the customer agrees to such checks. JM states that the verification procedure is carried out solely to confirm the customer’s identity; no credit checks are performed, and the customer’s credit rating is not affected. All information provided by the customer will be handled securely and strictly in accordance with all applicable data protection laws and JM’s Privacy Policy. The customer declares that the credit/debit card used is their own and that all related information provided, including but not limited to name and address, is complete, accurate, and correct. The customer also declares that the credit/debit card is valid and that the payment data entered is correct. If the institution that issued the credit/debit card refuses to authorize the payment, JM will not accept the order and cannot be held responsible for any delays or failure in delivery, nor will it be required to provide information regarding the reason for the refusal. JM is not responsible for any fees or other amounts charged by the card issuer or bank in relation to the processing of the credit/debit card payment for the order.
- Stripe: If the customer pays via Stripe, they must provide the requested data, which will be managed directly by Stripe without the need to re-enter the credit or prepaid card data. JM specifies that the Privacy Policy available on Stripe’s website also applies, which describes how Stripe collects, stores, processes, shares, and transfers personal data for the use of its services.
5.2 JM is available to discuss alternative payment methods at the email address customercare@julesmeniconi.com.
Art. 6 – Gift Vouchers/Gift Cards
6.1 It is possible to request the issuance of gift vouchers/gift cards through the dedicated “gift card” section on the website www.julesmeniconi.com or by sending an email to customercare@julesmeniconi.com.
6.2 Gift vouchers/gift cards are valid for 1 year (i.e. 365 calendar days) from the date of issue.
Art. 7 – Order Preparation and Product Delivery
Order Processing Time
7.1 Ordered products will be made within 30 working days (excluding Saturdays and Sundays), starting from the receipt of the order confirmation email (for confirmation emails received on a Saturday or Sunday, the processing time will begin on the next available working day).
7.2 In certain periods of the year, order fulfillment or production may require more time than expected (compared to the timeline stated in 7.1). This information will be clearly communicated to the customer at checkout, and the customer will have the option to either complete the order by accepting the indicated timeline or stop the purchase process.
7.3 Payment of the price implies acceptance of the stated timeline.
Shipping Time
7.4 In addition to the production time, a maximum of 5 additional working days should be considered for shipping the product.
7.5 JM clarifies that it is not responsible for unpredictable shipping delays during high-traffic holiday periods (such as, but not limited to, the Christmas season or summer months). In any case, JM commits to promptly inform the customer as described in section 7.2.
7.6 Shipping costs will be covered by JM for deliveries within Italy and other EU countries.
7.7 Once the product has been handed over to the carrier and/or shipping company, JM will send an email to the customer with the tracking number and the name of the carrier/shipping company.
7.8 JM is not responsible if the customer, without justification, postpones or delays receiving the delivery after the carrier/shipping company has attempted delivery, or if the customer has provided an incorrect delivery address that results in failed delivery. In such cases, JM is released from the obligation to deliver the items within the specified delivery timeframe, and the customer will not be entitled to any refund.
7.9 JM is not liable for delays and/or failure to deliver (or damage to the package) if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to war or terrorist acts, strikes, national or local emergencies, disruption of transport infrastructure, power outages or utility failures, earthquakes, or other natural disasters.
Delivery Address
7.10 Ordered products will be delivered to the address provided by the customer to the carrier/ shipping company appointed by JM.
7.11 The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided, including but not limited to the correctness of the shipping address. JM declines any responsibility in case of inaccurate or incomplete delivery addresses. Any storage, holding, or return costs due to incorrect or incomplete addresses, or due to the customer not collecting the products held in storage within the timeframe indicated by the carrier/shipping company, will be charged to the customer.
7.12 If the address error is attributable to JM, the package will be resent to the customer at no additional cost.
7.13 Customers acknowledge that it is not permitted to change the shipping address after the price has been paid.
Product Delivery
7.14 Products will be delivered in appropriate packaging and are checked by dedicated staff both at the time of packaging and when the package is handed over to the carrier.al momento dell’imballaggio che al momento della consegna di quest’ultimo al vettore.
7.15 JM encourages its customers, at the time of delivery and before signing the delivery confirmation, to verify the integrity of the packaging. If the external package appears damaged, punctured, torn, or tampered with, the customer may refuse to accept the delivery, providing immediate notification of the refusal due to “damaged packaging” and explaining the reason for the refusal in writing by email to customercare@julesmeniconi.com, attaching photos of the packaging. It is understood that once the delivery form has been signed, the customer may no longer contest the condition or integrity of the packaging.
7.16 If the products received do not match those ordered and described in the order confirmation, the customer may request assistance by sending an email to customercare@julesmeniconi.com.
7.17 JM is released from its delivery obligation once the goods have been handed over to the carrier or shipping company. From that moment on, the risk of loss or damage to the goods is no longer JM’s responsibility. Therefore, JM declines any liability in this regard and invites the customer to contact the carrier directly in case of loss or damage to the product.
Art. 8 – Right of Withdrawal
8.1 Pursuant to Article 59, letter “c”, of Legislative Decree No. 206 of 6 September 2005 (Consumer Code), the right of withdrawal is excluded as it concerns the sale of personalized and custom-made goods which are therefore neither resalable nor reusable.
8.2 In the event of an incorrect size, JM invites customers to send an email to: customercare@julesmeniconi.com.
8.3 For “limited edition” products, the customer may exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 days from receipt of the product by sending an email to: customercare@julesmeniconi.com indicating the intention to withdraw. JM will confirm receipt of the withdrawal request via email and provide instructions on how to return the product and obtain a refund. The customer must return the product to JM without delay and, in any case, within 5 days from the receipt of the confirmation email. The customer must take particular care in packaging the product to be returned. If the returned product is damaged due to improper packaging, JM reserves the right to refuse the return. In any case, the product must be returned intact, complete, and in the same condition in which it was received. Returned products must not show any signs of use beyond what is necessary for trying them on (e.g., no signs of extended use). Products returned without the original box, with a damaged box, soles showing obvious wear, or that have been tampered with will not be accepted and will be returned to the original shipping address. If JM decides not to accept the return after its assessment, the customer will be informed via email with the reasons for rejection. The refund will be issued once the product has been received and verified, and in any case within 5 days of receipt. If the right of withdrawal has not been exercised in accordance with the present article, it shall not result in the termination of the contract and no refund will be granted.
Art. 9 – Legal Warranty
9.1 JM is liable for product conformity defects that occur within 2 years from the date of delivery. In case of a defective product, JM invites customers to contact customer service at customercare@julesmeniconi.com and provide photos of the defective product for repair.
9.2 The repair period for defective products may vary between 30 and 60 business days from the date the product is returned to JM, following the instructions provided by customer service as outlined in Article 9.1.
9.3 The durability of the finish is not considered a manufacturing defect but rather the result of personal use and/or misuse and/or wear and tear and/or improper maintenance.
9.4 Any discrepancies with respect to the final render image (which is purely illustrative) are due to the artisanal nature of the product and not to a production defect. Handmade production ensures uniqueness.
9.5 Products are shipped intact and undergo quality control prior to shipment. JM therefore recommends the following precautions to prevent the shoes from being damaged or breaking:
- Avoid contact with moisture and/or water (to prevent, for example, the detachment of parts);
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct light sources (to prevent, for example, discoloration);
- Avoid or exercise extra care when walking on grass, especially when wet, cobblestones, paving stones, or other stone surfaces (to prevent damage or accelerated wear to the heel).
9.6 Any damage occurring after delivery or resulting from wear, misuse, or improper use of the product (including but not limited to the failure to follow the precautions in Article 9.5) shall not be attributable to JM in any way.
Art. 10 – Unlawful Resale and Intellectual Property

No content on the website or social media shall be interpreted as granting any license or right to use the displayed materials.
10.4 Unauthorized resale or distribution of products is strictly prohibited. If JM becomes aware of any unlawful and unauthorized distribution of its products, it reserves the right to take legal action to stop such conduct and seek compensation for any damages incurred.
10.5 JM monitors the use of its trademark and adopts appropriate measures against violations of intellectual property, copyright, and trademark protection.
10.6 For any matters not expressly covered in this Article 10, the relevant laws and regulations concerning intellectual property rights, copyright, and trademark protection shall apply.
